ECSA International Conference 2016 – Abstracts

Session 6: “Citizen engagement and collective intelligence for participatory Digital Social Innovation: Opportunities and challenges for Citizen Science in solving everyday sustainability challenges Submission Procedure”

CHEST invites you to submit an abstract for this session, which is being hosted by European Institute for Participatory Media (EIPCM).

Submission Requirements:

  • An abstract may be submitted to only one specific conference session.
  • All abstracts should include the following:
    o abstract title (brief and concise)o author(s) + affiliation(s)
    o abstract text (including a brief description of the societal challenge you are addressing, the main challenges and lessons learned with regard to citizen involvement as codesigners/co-researchers in the process of solution development, validation and implementation)
    o preference (Talk/Poster)
    o session indication (please indicate the session “06 – Citizen engagement and collective intelligence for participatory Digital Social Innovation: Opportunities and challenges for Citizen Science in solving everyday sustainability challenges”).
  • Abstracts have to be in English.
  • Abstracts must not exceed a maximum of 300 words.

Deadline for submission: Monday, 22nd February 2016

ALL ABSTRACTS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE ONLINE SYSTEM.

If your abstract is accepted, you will give a short presentation (10min) and participate in the subsequent speaker panel discussion (30min). Alternatively, depending on the nature of the contribution, some abstracts may be accepted in form of a poster presentation.
